Responsibilities:

The Digital Marketing Specialist must be able to create and lead visionary change, be results focused and build strong working relationships with others to grow the business. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Own and govern the social media platform strategy, inclusive of guidelines for how the business and employees should use these channels to positively engage with customers and audiences.
  • Own the social media calendar(s) and lead the (monthly/quarterly/yearly) planning sessions that translate multiple business demands into a connected, cohesive and unified story.
  • Review and update the planning and request processes to enhance the marketing team’s understanding and streamline the process.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the content strategy. Working with the editorial, design, and business teams to plan and promote our brand story in a consistent and unified approach.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the paid media strategy to promote content across social platforms, ensuring our story reaches the right audience.
  • Manage the paid advertising budget.
  • Lead the planning and day-to-day management of the paid media strategy including social, paid search, and display to promote content across social platforms, ensuring our story reaches the right audience.
  • Develop and foster a social influencer and ambassador program that broadens audience reach
  • Analyse engagement and social listening data to develop a deep understanding of customer and audience needs and market trends and recommend actions to optimize engagement and communications to drive growth
  • Monitor community engagement and support proactive engagement that positively positions our brand.
  • Stay at the forefront of new trends and technologies, actively researching the latest in social media platforms. And share new emerging trends and recommendations with the wider marketing team on how they may leverage them to optimize reach and engagement.


Requirements:

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:


  • Demonstrable track record of success in marketing position
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or a related discipline
  • Experience managing social media and paid social strategies, including hands-on experience executing campaigns in LinkedIn
  • Excellent stakeholder management including experience of working with senior executive teams
  • High enthusiasm for generating creative ideas
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills. Possess the ability to understand long-term goals while balancing efforts to focus on short-term business needs, details and results
  • Strong project management, organizational, attention to detail, research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience working in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects/tasks
  • Experience in managing digital marketing for e-commerce brands.
  • Experience setting up tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and the Facebook pixel.
  • Flawless communication and people skills that allow you to build and maintain strong relationships with our clients.
  • Supreme organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to remain focused when managing competing priorities.
  • Experience working with email marketing.
  • A keen sense of self-motivation, with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
